Wednesday, April 18th at 9pm: The Jazz Record Art Collective is proud to present the Artie Black Quintet performing Joe Henderson’s 1964 release "IN ‘N OUT". ABLBUM BACKGROUND: "Joe Henderson ‘s In and Out was released on April 10th 1964 on Blue Note Records. This was Henderson’s third record as a leader under this label and he chose an amazing band to join him. It features Kenny Dorham on Trumpet, McCoy Tyner on piano, Elvin Jones on drums, and Richard Davis on bass. This record features compositions written by Henderson himself as well as Kenny Dorham. It’s truly special to hear everyone playing at such a high level and so much individuality making a record that should not be ignored." ~Lenard Simpson PERFORMANCES BY: Artie Black - Tenor Saxophone Justin Copeland - Trumpet Rob Clearfield - Piano Matt Ulery - Bass Marcus Evans - Drums https://www.facebook.com/events/2020383564952351/ ADMISSION & LOCATION: $10 cover or $5 w/ student ID Doors open at 8pm.
