Thursday, July 15th at 8pm: The Jazz Record Art Collective is proud to present a livestream and in-person performance featuring Fareed Haque performing Pat Martino's 1977 release "Joyous Lake". The evening will also feature live painting from visual artist Alex Puryear. ALBUM BACKGROUND: "1977's Joyous Lake, that the increasingly well-known and already influential guitarist from Philadelphia took the big dive into electric waters, with a crack band of then-largely unknowns...for those who enjoy their fusion with a stronger tie to the tradition, even as its grooves and colors are irrefutably electric and in their energy, electrified, Joyous Lake remains an undervalued gem in Martino's discography, and one that absolutely merits Rediscovery. ~John Kelman PERFORMANCES BY: Fareed Haque - Guitar Kevin Kozol - Keys Alex Austin - Bass Greg Fundis - Drums LIVESTREAM ACCESS: youtube.com/fultonstreetcollective IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE: In-person attendance will be limited capacity.
